Hi everyone, I am an author but I also run a small editing business on the side around my day job. I've mainly edited shorter documents up to now - resumes, selection criteria responses and cover letters. I have a background in law/journalism and am just about to finish a Masters degree in professional writing.
I'd love to be able to move to editing books. I have high attention to detail and extensive knowledge of grammar and sentence structure. I rewrite and edit copy to improve readability as well as detecting and correcting errors in spelling, punctuation and syntax. I can also verify dates, facts and statistics using standard reference sources.
Cost depends on the size of the project and amount of work needed. If I see a sample, I can give a more accurate quote. My rates are low-cost. I'm aiming to get more experience editing larger documents after all! Thanks.
